On-Call Cable Technician Position
We are looking for an on-call cable technician to work on telecommunications projects on an as needed basis.
Job Requirements:
Most have experience in:
- Installation, termination, testing and labeling of various low-voltage cabling.
- Installation of cable pathway systems including trays, racks J-hooks and D-rings.
- Dressing and routing cable into telecommunications closets, modular furniture and other outlets.
- Terminating patch panels and jacks.
- Testing and troubleshooting test results for cabling.
- Reading and understanding Telecommunications blue prints.
Other Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation – position requires travel to worksites.
- Must have the necessary basic telecom tools.
- Ability to work extended hours if needed.
- Able to work safely following company policies including ladder and lift work.
- Able to safely lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
- Must have a high standard of workmanship, reliability and work ethics.
- Able to interact with customers in a professional manner.
